The GATE 2025 exam will be conducted on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025. The official website gate2025.iitr.ac.in was launched on June 29, 2024. Online applications are accepted from August 28 to September 26, 2024, without late fees. The last date to apply with a late fee is October 7, 2024.
The results will be announced on March 19, 2024. The GATE 2024 Information Brochure/Notification was released on August 15, 2024.
The application fee for GATE 2025 is ₹900 for SC, ST, PWD, and Female candidates. For other categories (General, EWS, OBC), the fee is ₹1800. The application fee must be paid online.
From September 27 to October 7, 2024, the application fee is ₹1400 for SC, ST, PWD, and Females. The fee for General, EWS, and OBC candidates during this extended period is ₹2300.
Candidates currently pursuing a 3rd year or higher undergraduate degree program or who have completed a government-approved degree program in Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Science/Commerce/Arts/Humanities are eligible to appear for GATE 2025.

Financial Assistance given to M.Tech students is ₹12,400 per month and is generally paid for 22 months.
Financial Assistance given for Ph.D. programs (Direct Ph.D. after B.E./B.Tech/M.Sc equivalent with a valid GATE score) is ₹37,000 per month for the first two years and ₹42,000 per month from the third to the fifth year.
